7:05 Amy Modic called the meeting to order and Sister Patricia led the  Opening Prayer.

7:07  Vice President Report-made by Amy Modic, Secretary’s Report by Marybeth Fabian, Treasurer’s Report by Amy Fry

7:09 Principal’s Report by Sister Patricia-Discussed new preschool, Spirit Sunday, the beginning dates of school, September 1 is Orientation Night, the new pastor and Sr. Sean is the new Director of Religious Education.

7:15 Project Reports (by Amy Modic)

  • Spirit Sunday-Committee Chairs need to attend to represent committees. Uniform table need volunteers.
  • Party in the Park-September 19- noon-3, need volunteers
  • Resource Family sign ups were sent around

7:20 Committee Reports

  • Awareness-(Michelle Brusio) discussed different billboard locations
  • Christmas Craft-(Michelle Brusio) only have 25 tables to fill yet
  • Historian-(Karen Walker) passed around scrapbooks
  • Hospitality(Yvonne Lo Presto) discussed Spirit Sunday
  • Little Angels(Laura Krese) no update
  • Market Day(Holly Rolfe) Pick up date 8/12, met with Market Day sales rep. , St. Peter’s has raised $73,432 since 1993 with Market Day
  • Membership (Fabian, Fry) shared new PTU sign up form , had possible opting out of fundraiser option, discussed under new business
  • Newsletter(Karolyn Voytko) discussed first newsletter of year
  • Night at the Races(Noreen DeLuca) We went with another company for the Night at the Races, will include a wheel, also working on the letter for sponsorship, discussed snow blower as the prize, or possibly getting something else
  • Room Parents-(Laura Kelling) not present-but has a question Is preschool going to be included in room parents?
  • School and Community Services (Molly Marshall) Book Fair November 21-24
  • Sunshine-need chair

7:55 New Business

  • New possible fund raisers-Kidstuff books (Michelle Brusio) coupon books for family and kids
  • Calendar-(Karen Walker) Pick a month and sell calendars for chances to win
  • Opt out of Fundraiser options-many ideas were thrown out about this-minimum donation or opt out of each fund raiser, needs more discussion
  • Sitters at PTU meeting-perhaps for service hours
  • Old Business-none
  • Announcements-no Chuck E. Cheese this year, next PTU meeting will be September 8.
