Gift Certificate Order Form
Fellow Parents and Parishoners,
As of December 1, 2009 the purchase of Gift Cards/Certificates will be handled by volunteers of PTU and the Parish. Due to Diocese mandated requirements a paid staff member cannot sell a fundraising item. We will have a table set up after 5:30pm, 8 am, 10 am, and noon masses in the back vestibule of the church for about 30 minutes hoping that anyone that buys gift cards will do so at St. Peters.
About the Program
St Peter offers just about all stores in the area, even Giant Eagle which you can purchase then buy your items at Giant Eagle and still get the fuel perks from them. You can purchase ordinary gift cards after masses or through your child at school. If you order through your child at St Peter school, you would fill out the order form and send a check with them your order is filled and returned with your child.
An example of the benefit to our Parish:
A family spends: $75 a week in groceries and $25 a week in gasoline that alone would total $5000 a year. Multiply that by 5%, and it comes to $250 for the Parish. Simply by purchasing the monies you were going to use at the store but buying the gift card through the Parish. St Peter receives the gift cards at a discounted rate that is how the stores give the money back to the Parish.
If half of the families in our Parish family did this $2500 worth of shopping a year, the parish would make a minimum of $50,000. Think of the potential when you consider gift giving, groceries, and gasoline purchases. We also have St Peter gift certificates for purchase so you may give those to a teacher or staff member to choose the gift card they desire.
