Kindergarten: Mrs. Karr, KB

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to welcome you and your kindergartner to an exciting school year! Our class theme this year is:  Bullfrogs and Butterflies. These are just two of the many wonderful creatures that God has made. As one of our Catholic identity goals for social justice, the kindergartners will be working on caring for God's creation throughout the year.

To begin with, the children will be introduced to the social justice principle of caring for God's creation through Bible stories, children's literature, role-playing, and through discussions on how to show love, care, and respect for their bodies, for fellow classmates, for family members, for authority figures, and for community helpers, to name a few. Good deeds, good manners, and kind words will be encouraged throughout the year. We will also cultivate an appreciation for God's creation by growing plants, by observing the life cycle of Painted Lady butterflies, by encouraging recycling and the careful consumption of resources, and by taking good care of our classroom, school property, and the materials we use.

We wish you well and bow to the Spirit of God within each of us because All Are Welcome!
