Junior High Rules for 2010 – 2011

The following rules for accountability will include but are not limited to:

Coming to class prepared with all materials

Keeping hands, feet and objects to yourself

Following directions and working silently and independently when study time is given

Respect for self and others.

This includes verbal and physical displays. All serious offenses listed on p.13 of handbook

The above behaviors will be monitored:

Through a daily log kept by the teachers passed from teacher to teacher throughout the day. This log will determine the frequency and magnitude of the infraction. If a student receives three notations during the school day that student will be given a writing task. If a student receives three writing tasks due to aforementioned rules broken, that student will then receive a demerit. If three demerits are accumulated the student will receive a warning of possible suspension. If a student receives five demerits a one day suspension is issued. (handbook p.13, demerit policy) Demerits could be immediately issued by the classroom teacher if the infraction is extremely serious. Rewards for students complying with school rules: Any student who does not receive a demerit within the quarter will be able to participate in a reward determined by the classroom teacher.
